Day 1 LAX - Shanghai – Chengdu by flight Depart aboard your luxuriously appointed flight for Chengdu via Shanghai
Day 2 Arrive at Chengdu Hotel: Chengdu Sheraton Hotel or same class (5star) Upon arrival, you will be met by Spring Tour tour guide at the airport. You will be transferred to check in the reserved hotel.
Day 3 Chengdu B L D Hotel: Chengdu Sheraton Hotel or same class (5star) Chengdu is a city with over 2300 years of history. Today you will visit the famous Dujiang Dam which is an irrigation infra-structure built in 256 BC during the Warring States Period of China by the Kingdom of Qin. It is located in the Min River close to Chengdu. It is still in use today and still irrigates over 5,300 square kilometers of land in the region. In the afternoon, you will go to visit the Chengdu Panda Base to see the cute panda. This Panda Base has not only dedicated itself to giant panda conservation, but has also made great efforts to combine natural scenery and man-made landscapes to create wonderful and humane living areas for giant pandas, red pandas, and other Chinese endangered animals. Afterwards continue your visit to the ancient poet Dupu’s Thatched Cottage in the afternoon.
Day 4 Chengdu – Leshan - Mt.Emei by bus B L D Hotel: Hongzhu Shan Hotel (5 star) Today you will go to visit Leshan Giant Buddha and Mount Emei, both places have been listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1996. The Leshan Giant Buddha was built during the Tang Dynasty (618-907). It is carved out of a cliff face that lies at the confluence of the three in the city of Leshan. The stone sculpture faces Mount Emei, with the rivers flowing below his feet. It is the largest carved stone Buddha in the world.. Late in the afternoon you will get to Mount Emei.
Day 5 Mt. Emei – Chengdu by bus B L D Hotel: Chengdu Sheraton Hotel (5 star) Mt. Emei is one of the Four Sacred Buddhist Mountains of China. The patron bodhisattva of Emei is Samantabhadra, known in Chinese as Puxian 16th and 17th century sources allude to the practice of martial arts in the monasteries of Mount Emei made the earliest extant reference to the Shaolin Monastery as Chinese boxing's place of origin. Take the cable car up to the Golden Summit which is about 9800 feet above sea level, you will notice there are many monkeys in this Mount Emei. Late in the afternoon, you will get back to Chengdu to visit the old street Jinli to experience the life of Chengdu.
Day 6 Chengdu – Jiuzhaigou by flight B L D Hotel: Jiuzhai Paradise Hotel or same (5star) Fly to Jiuzhaigou National Park - a nature reserve in the South Western part of China. It is known for its many multi-level waterfalls and colorful lakes, and was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1992. Jiuzhaigou's landscape is made up of high-altitude karsts shaped by glacial, hydrological and tectonic activity. It lies on major fault lines on the diverging belt between the Qinghai-Tibet Plate and the Yangtze Plate, and earthquakes have also shaped the landscape. The rock strata are mostly made up of carbonate rocks such dolomite and tufa, as well as some sandstone and shale. Your wonderful Jiuzhai Valley tour will begin today.
Day 7 Jiuzhaigou B L D Hotel: Jiuzhai Paradise Hotel or same (5star) Jiuzhaigou takes its name from the nine Tibetan villages along its length. Jiuzhaigou's best-known feature is its dozens of blue, green and turquoise-colored lakes. Jiuzhaigou is composed of three valleys arranged in a Y shape. You will begin to explore the beauty of this beautiful valley.
Day 8 Jiuzhaigou - Chengdu – Changsha by flight B D After breakfast, you will fly to Changsha via Chengdu. Changsha is the capital of Hunan province. It is an important industrial and commercial city in south part of China Hotel: Huaya International Hotel or same (5star)
Day 9 Changsha – Zhangjiajie by bus B L D Hotel: Jinjiang Int’l Hotel or same (5star) After breakfast, you will visit Mawangdui , an archaeological site located in Changsha . The site consists of two saddle-shaped hills and contained the tombs of three people from the western Han Dynasty (206 BC – 220 AD). The tombs belonged to the first Marquis of Dai, his wife, and a male who is believed to be their son. The site was excavated from 1972 to 1974. From the eastern tomb, Tomb no. 1, contained the remains of a woman in her fifties. Her mummified body was so well-preserved.. Afterwards, you will continue your trip to Zhangjiajie – the first national park in China.
Day 10 Tianzi Mountain (B/L/D) Hotel: Jinjiang Int’l Hotel or the same (5*) Tianzi Mountain (Heaven’s Son Mount) lies in the northwest of Wulingyuan and stands at a position of tripartite confrontation with Zhangjiajie National Park, and Suoxi Valley. The mount is dotted with nearly 100 natural platforms for sightseeing, more than 2000 stone peaks and dozens of waterfalls and springs. The sea of clouds, the wavelike stone ranges, the snowcapped in the winter and the sunrise are the most spectacular.
Day 11 Zhangjiajie National Forest Park – Shanghai by flight (B/L/D) In 1982 Zhangjiejie was recognized as China's first national forest park (4,810 hectares). In 1992, part of Zhangjiajie - Wulingyuan National Park was officially recognized as a UNESCO World Natural Heritage site. In 2004, Zhangjiajie Geopark was listed as a UNESCO Global Geopark. The most notable geographic features of the park are the pillar-like formations that are seen throughout the park. The weather is moist year round, and as a result, the foliage is very dense. Much of the erosion which forms these pillars are the result of expanding ice in the winter and the plants which grow on them. These formations are a distinct hallmark of Chinese landscape, and can be found in many ancient Chinese paintings. Day 12 Zhangjiajie - Shanghai by flight B L D Today you will continue your tour in Zhangjiajie to visit Baofeng Lake by boat cruise, fly back to Shanghai after dinner. Hotel: Sky Fortune Hotel or the same (5star)
Day 13 Shanghai World Expo 2010 (B) World Expo 2010 Shanghai, China is a great event to explore the full potential of urban life. Centered on innovation and interaction, it will also offer a wonderful opportunity for cross-culture dialogues. Today you will have a full day to visit this World Expo. Day 14 Shanghai (B) Today you will continue the visit to the World Expo in Shanghai.
Day 15 Shanghai –LAX by flight (B) In the morning you will visit the Bund and Nanjing Road – the largest shopping street in China, then you will take Maglev, the world fastest train, to the airport to fly back to America.
